The Bard's iconic comedy takes to the stage in Launceston

One of William Shakespeare’s most iconic comedies will come to life this month as Tasmanian College of the Arts’ Theatre students take to the stage in Launceston.

In a hilarious romp of love, exile, redemption and cross-dressing, As You Like It will be performed by second-year TCotA Theatre students.

Set in an era-less world, As You Like It is a tale of lovers brought together through unusual circumstances.

It is a celebration of love, life and self-discovery wrapped up in a witty banter and unique characters with memorable quotes including “All the world’s a stage” and “Why then, can one desire too much of a good thing?”.

Directed by Grace Roberts, the show explores themes of gender equality, friendship and the idea of love is love.

As You Like It will be showing at the Annexe Theatre, Launceston from 24-27 May. Performances begin at 7pm and tickets are $10 each.
