The first meeting of the new UniFriends Club has been a great success, with more than 40 students turning up for snacks, drinks and socialising.
The Club is a weekly meeting giving students the chance to make new friends on campus. It is all about maximising student experience, campus engagement and building connections with other students.
Dona Leach, UTAS Student Engagement Coordinator, said the turnout was very pleasing.
“It was amazing to note some students had already made friends at the end of the event,” she said.
“We will be meeting next week, the same day and time and invite even more people to join us.”
Free coffee and nibbles will be available and all are welcome to attend.
The UniFriends Club meets on Wednesdays, 3-4pm, TUU kitchen above the Ref on the UTAS Sandy Bay campus.
