Mega volcanic eruptions the focus of Launceston lecture

University of Tasmania Earth Sciences Ecology and Biodiversity Lecturer Dr Karin Orth will speak as part of this year's The  Royal Society of Tasmania - 2018 Launceston Lecture Series.

Dr Orth, who has worked on ancient volcanic rocks in various regions across Australia and most recently on a large field of ancient volcanic rocks stretching across the Kimberley of northern Western Australia, will  present  'Mega Volcanic Eruptions and the Greatest Mass Extinction of All Time', on Sunday 24 June, 2018.

The lecture will be held at the QVMAG Meeting Room at Inveresk, at 1.30pm.
