Having trouble sleeping? We’re here to help

The University Psychology Clinic (UPC) is running Managing Your Sleep group programs in September 2017. This program looks at effective ways of improving the quality of sleep.

Clinic Manager Dr Tracey Dean said the sleep management groups had been successfully delivered by students in the postgraduate clinical psychology program over the past three years.

“Participants have reported improvements in sleep and enjoyed learning about the mechanics of sleep, sleep hygiene principles and strategies to improve sleep,” she said.

The University Psychology Clinic (UPC) is located on the Sandy Bay Campus and has provided evidence-based assessment and therapy services to the community for over 30 years. The clinic is staffed by postgraduate Clinical Psychology students and their client work is overseen by experienced clinical psychologists with Psychology Board of Australia supervisor status.

Non-psychology staff and students are eligible to register for group programs, however individual assessment and therapy services are limited and the University website has details for alternate staff services. Registrations close 2 March 2017.

More details about the UPC can be found online at or by emailing or phoning 6226 2805.
